Big Business is an adjustable shelving EQ that offers a level of tonal flexibility rarely found in a pedal. It features the familiar Low, Mid, and High controls, along with adjustable Low Frequency and High Frequency controls that let you control the crossover frequency between these bands. This gives you the flexibility to decide exactly where low transitions to mids and where mids become highs for precise control over your tone.

Each band, including midrange, provides a flat frequency response. When adjacent level controls are set to the same position, the response remains flat across the transition between bands. The result is an EQ that lets you make broad tonal adjustments that responds predictably and musically.

Flexible and Predictable Tone Shaping

Big Business was designed from my dissatisfaction with the limitations of existing EQ designs. Amp EQs often sound musical but offer limited flexibility, with controls that can interact in unpredictable ways. Graphic EQs are restricted at fixed frequency bands and can create unwanted peaks and valleys rather than a broad response. Parametric EQs offer greater control but also lack the broad, consistent response needed for sweeping tonal adjustments.

Big Business addresses all of these issues: user-adjustable crossover points, broad frequency responses, and predictable, independent tone control.

Big Business also features a broadband gain and a dedicated clean boost, activated independently via its corresponding footswitch. With 18V of internal headroom, you have plenty of room to drive the front of your amp or push your next pedal without creating it's own unwanted distortion.
